Meeting Minutes from Last weeks AGM from David

AGM SEPT 2009 AGM MINUTES

There were 13 members present at the meeting, with M.Turton, A.Judd, L.Bisek & S.Davison giving apologies.

Members present:-

Membership agreed for 2009-2010 set at £10.

It was agreed that Paul Annetts would become chairman of the club & Steve Green treasurer. D.Edmondson would continue with organisation of Christmas parties.

It was agreed that the preferred method of communication would be by e-mail/text although there is a group link on face book, of which Lukas would be asked to put a link to on the website. It is the members responsibility to make sure there contact details are up to date and correct. Please check next AGM.

Renewal of club race subscription is £80. this allows all members to race in club strip. We will try to reclaim £40 from cycle sense.

Longer rides will take place 0800hrs on 1st Sunday of month except for winter months. Members invited to provide routes for these runs, so they can be planned in.

Trips away are as follows:-

Malaga/sierra Nevada at idle breaks 16th-23rd march. See d Edmondson/n.baker for details.

Benidorm end of march – dates to be confirmed

Majorca (to celebrate Mick’s 60th birthday – fun/leisurely) 9/10th may for 1 week.

France Quillan beginning July dependant on tour de France route, to be confirmed/finalised.

There will be reordering of club kit mid-October, where it will be possible to order Shorts, Tops\(short/long sleeve),& Gillets. Your £10 subscription for this year will go towards the cost. Orders will be taken at the next AGM.

The club decided to support Phil Paul Nick Eli for their charity ride to Whitby 20th Sept with a donation of £100 towards very important charities including the air ambulance service.

The Christmas party Sat 5th Dec at the Milford lodge 1900hrs start has now been booked with 28 people attending. The balance of £19.95pp needs to be paid at the next AGM please.

To conclude, next AGM to finalise details of this AGM is on Friday 16th October at 1900hrs at Garforth squash club.

Club Communications

Dear all

Firstly thanks to David for the last couple of years as our chairman, he has done alot and helped out immensely within the club... But as things change we are looking as a group to evolve further and get better connected so, as agreed at the AGM last week, communications will be through the blog and the facebook group link on this page. As the new club chairman (president please from now on) I will try to keep this forum and the facebook community up to date as much as I can. However when you pay your subscription to David or Steve G - £10 we would like your email and mobile numbers so we can get information out when needed.

Over the next couple of weeks things on the blog and FB group should build up and our IT department will be setup. So keep checking this space, set it as a favorite maybe?? Next general meeting will be on 16th October at 7pm to discuss progress and any issues, at the Squash Club. I shall publicise an agenda on this forum shortly before the meeting...
